学生成功单位评估

 

The 学生成功策略框架 was developed by the 学生的成功 Team and is aligned with the themes of the Strategic Plan and the university mission and vision.  The framework and assessment of these units will provide measures of continuous improvement that are aligned with the institutional Strategic Plan.  另外, the framework identifies 学生成功学习成果 that are aligned with the 机构学习成果 (ILOs) and provide a co-curricular component for ILO assessment.

These units are aligned with themes of the Strategic Plan and the university mission and vision.  像这样, assessment of these units will provide measures of continuous improvement towards the objectives of the Strategic Plan.  另外, student success units may align with the ILOs and provide a co-curricular component for the 通识教育 curriculum.  因此, it is critical for all the offices and units under the Division of 学生的成功 to undergo comprehensive assessment of their goals and objectives as well as their alignment to ILOs and to the objectives of the Strategic Plan.

  5. 领导 – embed leadership skill development and training in co-curricular programming and student employment opportunities within the division. Develop Lincoln 引领。ers – students and staff

学生成功学习成果

  1. 自我发现和自我确认 – Students develop greater awareness of and appreciation for their strengths, 首选项, 学习方式和兴趣. Students exhibit confidence and pride and know how to use talents to best advantage and compensate for areas of weakness.
  2. Ethical Reasoning and Values-driven behavior – Students are able to assess their own ethical values and think about how different ethical perspectives might be applied to ethical dilemmas. Students’ ethical self-identity evolves as they practice ethical decision-making and analyze positions on ethical issues.
  3. 学术成就 – Students access the available services and develop the necessary habits and skills to be able to navigate the curriculum successfully. Students participate fully in the academic life of the University.
  4. 解决问题 – Students know how to approach problems as a process of designing, evaluating and implementing strategies to answer a question or achieve a desired goal.
  5. 团队合作 – Students understand the importance of individual contributions to the teams’ successful functioning and develop the necessary skills to interact with others and contribute effectively to a team effort.
  6. 联系与归属 – Students develop meaningful connections with other students, faculty and staff at the institution and see themselves as part of a community.

学生成绩评估委员会

The 学生的成功Assessment Committee consists of student success practitioners who are committed to making a positive contribution to the campus assessment culture and program.  The Committee exists to support all the units and offices within the division of 学生的成功 in conducting effective and meaningful assessment.

  • Establishing, reviewing and updating policies and guidelines related to student success assessment
  • Communicating student success assessment results to the campus community, as appropriate
  • Providing constructive feedback on student success unit assessment
  • Providing support to student success units during the comprehensive review process
  • Providing recommendations for enhancing and improving the student success assessment process
  • Facilitating university wide discussion of assessment results to enhance programs and services
  • 研究ing assessment best practices in order to communicate them and provide training to student success staff

The 学生成绩评估委员会 is comprised of representatives from selected 学生成功小组 across the campus as well as the 教务长 (or designee). The committee is chaired by the Director of Assessment and the Assistant Provost of Institutional Effectiveness, 研究, and Planning serves as an ex-officio member.
